Privacy policy

BizEAC Admin is the tool the BizEAC team uses to edit the directory. Only people who have been given an account can sign in. This page explains what the tool records about them.
The people and companies listed in the directory are covered by the privacy policy of the public site: bizeac.com/Privacy
Your account
For each account, the tool keeps:
- your email address, which is also your user name
- your password, stored only in a scrambled form (a hash) from which it cannot be read back
- if you sign in with Google, the identifier Google gives your account; Google's own privacy policy covers what it records about that sign-in
- if you turn on two-step verification, the key that links your authenticator app to your account
Account-related emails may be delivered through third-party email providers. To deliver these messages, those providers receive your email address, the subject and the message content.
What we record about your work
When you add, change or delete a record in the directory, the tool notes which account did it, to which record, and when, so that changes to the directory can be traced. It also notes each sign-in, each failed sign-in with Google and each time an account is locked out, with the account and the time.
Cookies
The tool sets only the cookies it needs to work:
- a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in; with “Remember me?” it lasts beyond the browser session
- a security cookie that protects forms against forged requests
- a language cookie that remembers the language you chose
The tool uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
Server logs
Our servers keep technical logs of requests, with your IP address, your browser type and the address of the page. Application and security logs can also include account identifiers and email addresses for sign-in events, and recipient email addresses, subjects and delivery results for account-related emails. We use these logs only to keep the tool running and secure and to troubleshoot email delivery, and keep them only as long as those purposes require.

We update this policy when the tool changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
